73 per cent of ratepayers are happy with Ballina Shire Council
Ballina Shire residents are generally satisfied with their council and the services it provides.
The finding was revealed in a new report released this week, with 73 per cent of respondents saying they are happy with the council services.
Earlier this year Ballina Shire Council engaged the Micromex Group to conduct the community attitudes and satisfaction survey of residents of the Ballina Shire Council.
The purpose of the survey was to provide the council with a better understanding of residents’ expectations, their perceptions of council services, the importance attached to specific council services and their satisfaction level with those services.
Warren Liackman, from Micromex, presented the results of this survey to the newly elected council and council staff this week.
Micromex was engaged to conduct this work for the Ballina Shire as they have extensive experience in providing custom-designed research and marketing programs for consumer and business-to-business organisations in a variety of industry and government sectors right across Australasia for in excess of 20 years.
Mr Liackman said that there were some really good results in this report for Ballina Shire, while at the same time there is also a lot of food for thought.
Paul Hickey, Ballina Shire Council General Manager, said that the information obtained from the survey will be one of a range of documents that will help guide the council in establishing priorities and goals for the next four years and longer.
