It’s show time at Alstonville
The 120th Alstonville Show will be held from this Friday, October 24, and will run for three days.
There’s an action-packed program for the show, which is the only one held in the Ballina Shire area.
Events will culminate at 2pm on Saturday with the Grand Parade and the announcement of the Showgirl winner.
THE PROGRAM:
Friday, October 24
7am Working Dog Trials
9am Pony & Arabian Classes
Performances throughout the day –School Bands, BJ Magician, Reptiles Down Under
Displays in the Pavilion –exhibits – matchbox car collection, Richmond River Woodcrafters, Ballina RSL Marine Modellers.
Saturday, October 25
8am Three ring horse program and showjumping
8.30 Championship Dog Show
9am Stud cattle judging
9am Poultry judging
9.30 – 3pm BJ Magician, Celtic Dancers, Belly Dancers, Reptiles Down Under
12.30,-3.30 and 5.30 Motor Cycle Stunt Rider
2pm Grand Parade, Official Opening, and announcement of showgirl winner
3pm Circus Performance including aerial acts
3.30-7.30 Junior Produce Scramble, Red Soiler’s Event, Team Haystacking Competition, Men & Women’s Tug-o-war, and Gig Race
7.30 Spectacular Fire Dance followed by a Great Fireworks Display
Sunday, October 26
7.30am: A full Campdraft Program all day.
