A big weekend ahead in Ballina
There’s a big weekend of entertainment ahead in Ballina, culminating in Rivafest on Sunday.
However, another highlight will be the culmination of this week’s Rotary Radio Auction on Paradise FM will, with a concert at Ballina’s Missingham ampitheatre on Saturday afternoon, November 29, starting at noon.
The radio auction was organised by the Rotary clubs of Alstonville and Ballina-on-Richmond. It began and Monday and concludes on Friday.
Bids are being taken in hour-long sessions from 10am and 2pm each day. Listen in to Paradise FM 101.9 for the items to be auctioned in each session. Phone 6686 0101 to make a bid.
The concert on Saturday begins at noon and will feature local school bands, comedian Mandy Nolan as MC, music by Jabiru, and Santa is due to arrive at 4pm.
A live auction will be held on the day.
The radio auction is raising money for Ballina SES, Our Kids, Heartfelt House and Rotary projects.
