Ballina Shire attractions on display at airport

The Ballina coast and hinterland will be showcased to over 300,000 visitors and visiting friends and relatives as part of the new facelift at the Ballina Byron Gateway Airport.

Ballina Shire council has installed an LCD monitor showcasing the iconic images of the popular features, activities and attractions on offer in the Ballina Shire, a series of brochure racks featuring the Ballina Coast and Hinterland Visitor Guide and a brochure rack featuring 60 local tourism businesses.

There are still a few spaces available for tourism businesses to showcase to place their DL brochure in the rack or alternatively for those who may miss out, you can advertise in the new edition of the visitor guide, which open in early January 2009.

Promotion of the Ballina coast and hinterland at the Ballina Byron Gateway airport is well overdue but the timing is just right with the influx of visitors about to hit the area.

“Even if visitors are staying outside of our Shire this holiday period, we will have information and high visual imagery to entice them to find out more about what to see and do in the Ballina coast and hinterland and entice them to stay with us when making plans for their next visit in the Northern Rivers,” said Liz Shepherd, Manager Tourism and Development, Ballina Shire Council.

For more information about the brochure racks or adverting in the Ballina Coast and Hinterland Visitor Guide contact the Ballina Visitor Centre on 1800 777 666.
