Riding for the Disabled on the lookout for new helpers
The Ballina branch of Riding for the Disabled is on the lookout for new helpers.
The centre has its venue at The Mitchell Centre, 75 North Teven Road, North Teven, and operates on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays during school terms.
The centre offers equine assisted activities and riding programs for children and adults with disabilities.
To continue their work they need helpers, and a helper training session is being held on Saturday 14 February 2009 from 1.30pm–3.30pm for interested people to come and find out what RDA is all about.
“The need for new helpers is urgent as we have many riders who wish to commence riding but unless new helpers are available it is not possible for this to happen,” a spokeswoman said.
Please ring Helen 6683 4208 for further information about participating as a volunteer.
