Entries sought for McDonald’s Performing Arts Challenge
The McDonald’s Performing Arts Challenge is calling for all potential stars in Ballina Shire to register and make the 21st year of the Challenge, which offers scholarships to some of Australia’s brightest artistic talent, the biggest yet.
McDonald’s, who have been the major sponsor of the Performing Arts Challenge since 1987, will be celebrating the landmark year through further investment, which has already seen NSW McDonald’s Restaurants invest over $2 million into the competition.
Scott Campbell, McDonald’s Ballina licensee, is proud of the contribution McDonald’s has made to the Challenge over the past 21 years and is encouraging all potential stars within the Ballina Shire community to register before the closing date.
“It’s amazing to see the difference the competition can make to the lives of budding artists. The McDonald’s Performing Arts Challenge gives young entrants the chance to perform in a prestigious competition against the best talent in the country,” he said.
“We encourage the performing artists of the Ballina Shire community to register for the McDonald’s Performing Arts Challenge. It is an unforgettable experience and a great way to meet new people; it’s a chance show the rest of Australia how talented you can be.”
Categories in the McDonald’s Performing Arts Challenge include Dance, Speech and Drama, Classical and Contemporary Singing, Instrumental Solos and Groups, Piano and Original Works.
