Alstonville’s Mother’s Day fete has plenty to offer
Stuck for Mother’s Day gift ideas? If so, a fete at St Bartholomew’s Parish Centre in Alstonville on Saturday, May 9, might provide the answer.
There will be a wide range of gifts on offer, ranging from flower arrangements to cakes, crafts, sweets, hand-made cards and produce.
There will be plenty of other goods on offer, as well as entertainment.
The ‘Steptoe Stall’ will have second-hand tools for sale.
Entertainment will include highland dancers, the Merry Makers and a fashion parade.
For the children, activities will include a fire engine display, hoopla and a sand wizard.
There will be barbecues operating for breakfast and lunch, plus Devonshire teas and a lot more.
There will be books for sale, and stalls offering Christian information and environmental information.
The op shop also will be open.
The Mother’s Day fete runs from 8am until 1pm.
