Ballina SES Unit to compete in Australasian Road Rescue Challenge
The Ballina SES Rescue team will represent the New South Wales State Emergency Service at this year’s Australasian Road Rescue Challenge (ARRO).
This year’s ARRO competition will be conducted at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney from Thursday July 9th until Sunday July 12th.
During the competition, the Ballina team will compete against 13 other teams from Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.
The teams will compete in three different and challenging scenarios – Controlled Rescue, Entrapped Rescue and Immediate Rescue, with the teams judged on their medical, technical and command skills.
The Ballina team have been training intensively for the compeition since last year’s challenge on the Gold Coast.
