Lennox Head-Alstonville surf club gears up for summer

There is currently plenty of activity at the Lennox Head-Alstonville Surf Life Saving Club as members prepare to serve the local community over what promises to be another busy season.

A core program of the Surf Lifesaving movement is the Nippers program, which develops lifesavers of the future.

The first day of Nippers will be Sunday 4th October, commencing at 9am.

“At Lennox Head, we pride ourselves on our strong focus on both competition and participation at Nippers – with plenty of social opportunities and family fun,” the club said in a press release.

If your family would like to be part of this iconic piece of Australian beach culture, then sign on for the coming season at either of these days:

Sunday 20th September, 10am to 12 noon. Information session for new members at 11am.

Sunday 27th September, 12 noon to 2pm. Information session for new members at 1pm.

Please bring a birth certificate for proof of age for all children.

Nippers are Junior Activities Members at a cost of $100 each, and parents become Associate Members at a cost of $50.

Enrolment forms and further information about all Surf Club activities can be found at the club’s new website www.lennoxsurfclub.com.au
