North Creek Road to get a roundabout
Work has started on a new roundabout at the intersection of the Pacific Highway and North Creek Road, Ballina.
The RTA says the roundabout will provide access for traffic to the new subdivision at Fern Grove and to North Creek Road.
There will be a number of lane closures and speed reductions while the work is carried out.
Traffic will be diverted around the worksite, and access to North Creek Road will be available using an alternative route through Southern Cross Drive.
The roundabout is being built by Ballina Shire Council and funded by the subdivision’s developer, Rayshield.
The work is scheduled to be completed by April 2010, weather permitting. No work is scheduled on the Pacific Highway section during the Christmas school holidays.
Motorists are asked to proceed cautiously and to obey traffic control directions.
