Lennox Head gearing up for its Cup day
Planning is well-advanced at the Ballina Jockey Club for this year’s Lennox Head Cup, which promises to be bigger and better than ever.
The Cup will be run on Sunday 18 October and the sponsor of the main race will again be the Lennox Point Hotel.
The whole community is right behind their race day, with other sponsors being Lennox Point IGA, Mortgage Choice and Lennox Head Bowling & Sports Club.
Ballina Jockey Club CEO Sarah Wills said this week: “We are planning this event as a community family-friendly day.
“As well as an exciting day’s racing, the very popular Kidz Klub will be on site and there will be live music, a fashion parade by Le Chelle Boutique and more. This will be a great day out for the whole family.”
As has occurred in previous years, the Jockey Club will be providing free bus transport from Lennox Head to the racecourse and return.
If you really want to make a day of it, book a ticket into the Lennox Head Trackside Marquee.
For $70 you will be able to get a free bus to the races and return, free entry to the racecourse and entry into the Lennox Head Trackside Marquee where you will enjoy complimentary food and beverages for the day.
