Christmas in the air at Sunday market

Market day in Ballina on Sunday, December 20, will have a festive air to it.
As there will only be five days to go to Christmas Day, stall-holders and market-goers are asked to help bring in the festive spirit and wear a Christmas hat to the market.
The market will give the community the opportunity to buy fresh produce for Christmas, decorations, Lions Christmas cakes and puddings, and it could be the place to buy last-minute Christmas gifts and cards from the art and craft, toy, clothes, plants or book stalls, all selling at realistic prices.
A stroll through the trash and treasure stalls always offers the chance of finding a great bargain.
The East Ballina Lions will be running their ’Cafe Under the Trees’ where you can relax with local coffee and Dutch pancakes topped with fresh fruit and cream, or choose from food stalls offering a variety of food to please everyone in the family, while the Lions will be firing up the BBQ from early morning with bacon and eggs to start the day.
There is still time to book a stall and at only $10 a great way to make extra dollars for Christmas – and you can sell anything that is legal.
Parking at the market is free and near the stalls and there are toilets on the site.
Profits from the markets are returned to the community through Lions projects.
