Surf lifesavers to conduct annual fund-raiser
Volunteer lifesavers of the Ballina Lighthouse and Lismore Surf Life Saving Club will come a-knocking this weekend in the club’s annual doorknock fund-raising campagin.
The club is asking the residents of Ballina for their support on Saturday, March 27.
Volunteer surf lifesavers and supporters will be asking the local community to dig deep in order to assist the club to continue to provide a safe and fun beach environment.
Last season the club performed over 20 rescues, and completed 994 ‘preventative actions’.
Club members notched up over 3200 hours of patrol time.
