Meeting on Ballina’s Community Garden
A second meeting to discuss the formation of the Ballina Community Garden will be held on Sunday, August 1, at the site of the proposed garden.
The inaugural meeting attracted on June 20 about 50 people, and organisers are keen to receive more input from members of the public.
Organisers are keen to hear from people who might not want a plot at the garden but would like to become ‘Friends of the Garden’.
The meeting will be onsite at the corner of Swift and Clarence streets, from 11am until noon.
The site of the proposed garden is between Fripp and Saunders ovals.
Last Sunday garden organisers handed out flyers at the Ballina Market to publicise the garden.
