The Grandstand Eatery wins family-friendly award
The Grandstand Eatery at Ballina Seagulls Rugby League Club has received an award from Northern Rivers Family Magazine.
The magazine’s Family Friendly Restaurant Award is awarded to local restaurants and cafés offering exceptional services to families with young children.
The Grandstand Eatery was nominated for the award by a local reader who was impressed with the restaurant’s reasonably priced, home-style cooking menu.
Editor and publisher of Northern Rivers Family Magazine Sadie Hunt said: “I am delighted to honour The Grandstand Eatery with this coveted award which is a much-deserved accolade and pays tribute to the hard work and innovation of new owner Kelly Taylor and her staff.”
The Grandstand Eatery owner Kelly Taylor said: “Affordable, fresh food with special appeal to families is our trademark. I make all my meals from fresh, local produce including some fabulous home-made pestos, sauces and tapenades. There’s a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and, in summertime, a huge outdoor grassed area for playing.
“A visit to The Grandstand Eatery makes for a pleasant family eating experience which doesn’t break the household budget or leave families disappointed with the quality of their meals.”
Northern Rivers Family Magazine is distributed free through schools, pre-schools, day care centres, doctors and libraries once each term in the Tweed, Mullumbimby, Byron, Lismore, Alstonville, Casino, Kyogle, Ballina and Evans Head areas.
