Rotary Clubs raise funds for Pakistan flood victims
The Rotary Clubs of Alstonville and Ballina are raising funds for the Pakistani flood victims.
Cash donations can be left at Taffy’s Shoe Repairs at Alstonville Plaza and at Hookers real estate offices at 89 River Street, Ballina, and Shop 16, Alstonville Plaza.
Rotary barbecues will be held outside Coles at Ballina Fair and in the Plaza at Alstonville on Saturday morning, September 11.
Money raised will purchase Family Survival Packs, which consist of a tent, blankets, stoves, tools and other materials and cost $800 each.
A Family Survival Pack already has been purchased with an $800 donation from the Wollongbar Tavern.
The Rotary Clubs of Alstonville, Ballina and Ballina on Richmond are involved in the fundraising.
