Seabird Rescue holding daily holiday tours
Looking for somewhere to take the kids during the school holidays?
How about a chance to get up close and personal with some sea turtles?
Visit Australian Seabird Rescue at Ballina and you and your children will receive a one-hour educational talk on our native marine wildlife as well as an opportunity to see any sea turtles that they have in care.
At the moment ASR has four sea turtles, which include one very special loggerhead turtle rescued from Victoria!
This is a rare occurrence and it is not often that people have the opportunity to have a close encounter with one of these marvellous yet threatened species.
One talk and tour will be given every day until Sunday 10 October at 10:00 am. Tours for five people or more can be booked at other times. You can find ASR at the end of North Creek Road, in Ballina.
As ASR is a volunteer organisation, a donation of $5 for adults and $2 for children under 12 years of age. This money helps ASR feed and care for the sea turtles and many other seabirds rescued around the area each year.
Call ASR on 6686 2852 to book.
