Teven Tintenbar students, staff support Movember

Teven Tintenbar students, teachers and families are embracing good causes during the month of November.

School teacher, Craig Lindsay, will shave off his Movember mustache and ALL his hair during school assembly on 1 December, if he can raise more than $1000 during November.

Fundraising proceeds will be shared equally between Prostate Cancer Research and CanTeen.

Fundraising for both charities was kicked off nicely on 27 October, when Natalie Chatterton, school parent and owner of Creative Blinds and Awnings in Ballina, generously donated $200 towards the cause.

Students at the school are also planning to hold a crazy hair day fundraiser on 1 December to help support Craig with his fundraising efforts. On the day, students will wear mufti clothes and will either wear their hair in a funny way or colour it.

“I am delighted to be supporting these two worthy charities, and am even more delighted to be working closely with our students and the school community on this initiative. Our students have passionately adopted this cause for themselves, and are looking forward to seeing me grow a handlebar mustache during Movember,” Craig said.

“I only have one haircut a year, and this year, it will be a very public one during school assembly. Fortunately, one of our school mums is a hairdresser and I am assured she will take good care of me.”

People can show their support by donating directly through Teven Tintenbar School (telephone 6687 8210 or go online at www.teventint-p.schools.nsw.edu.au) or online at Movember.
