Join the Ballina Shire Garage Sale Trail
The Garage Sale Trail is held all over Australia on Sunday 10 April 2011.
Endorsed by local councils spreading the message of sustainability, creativity and community
Rugby Union Wallabies’ captain Rocky Elsom is this year’s national Garage Sale Trail ambassador.
The Garage Sale Trail is not only a great way to sell your unwanted books, bikes, clothes, larger
household items and bric-a-brac, but is also an opportunity to meet your neighbours and have a bit
of fun and reusing resources and preventing useful items being sent to landfill.
Be one of the first 50 to register your sale and receive a participant’s pack which includes a cap,
t-shirt, balloons and a garage sale trail guide.
It is free to join so get your unwanted gear together and register your sale on the Garage Sale
Trail online map at www.garagesaletrail.com.au. Trail blazers will be able to download this map
or collect a copy from Council’s Customer Service Centre (Cnr Tamar & Cherry Streets, Ballina). A
list of garage sales will also be published in the Ballina Shire Advocate the week of the event.
If you don’t have internet access try your local library or contact Ballina Shire Council’s
Communication and Education Officer, Kate Heyward on Ph 6686 1458.
