Alstonville Wollongbar Quota Club Fair is on this weekend

Each August for the past 10 years,  Alstonville Wollongbar Quota Club has run an arts and craft Fair at the Alstonville Leisure Centre. This year’s event will be held this weekend, August 27 and 28.

The Fair attracts visitors from across the local area, from the Tweed to the Clarence.

The success of the Fair is crucial to the Quota Club, as funds raised by this major event are distributed to local families and organisations throughout the year.  Some donations are one-off, to support a cause, and others are regular contributions.

The Southern Cross K12 Support Unit is a case in point. Following an initial donation of  $5245 towards the purchase of their bus, the Support Unit receives regular support from Alstonville Wollongbar Quota.

The 11th Annual Financial Wisdom Quota Fair promises to exceed all others, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Financial Wisdom’s Tony Cicchinelli.

With the inclusion of fashion in the line-up, Wollongbar TAFE fashion design students are staging a display of their work.  Fashion parades, displaying the creations of local designer houses Anne Leon and Pure Pod, will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 1pm.

The Fair will showcase arts and crafts of all descriptions, plus fashion, and an all-day café and barbeque.

It’s on at the Alstonville Leisure Centre, Commercial Rd, Alstonville, 9-4 Saturday and Sunday, 27th and 28th August.
