Ballina to Celebrate Bypass- Sunday 27th November
A community day will be held to mark the early opening of stage two of the Ballina bypass Pacific Highway. Everyone is invited to attend a free community day to be held at the Teven Road Interchange between 9am and 2pm. Activities will include jumping castles, face painting, Old MacDonald’s animal farm, live entertainment, roving entertainers, project displays, food and market stalls, bus tours of the project with live commentary, and many more. There will also be lots of community participation and fund raising by local charities cooking sausage sizzles to raise money. Free shuttle buses will be available from key locations in/around Ballina for community members to catch to the event. We encourage people to use the free shuttle buses as parking on site is limited.
The first section of the bypass from Teven Road north to Cumbalum will open to traffic on December 7th. The final section from Teven Road Interchange south will open early next year.
