New Bunnings Store for Ballina to open Monday 29th July 2013

bunnings-openingThe new Bunnings store in Ballina is all set for the opening on Monday 29th July. With over 6,000 pallets delivered over the past four weeks, the shelves are fully stocked for the anticipated buzz of shoppers. Manager, Mr Brett Jones said that the 140 team members have been busy preparing for the opening, the official opening will take place on Thursday 1st of August.
The Ballina Bunnings will be one of the pioneer stores to have an atrium entrance to the, larger than usual, garden section as well as a Cafe’ and children’s playground. The store also incorporates several sustainable design features including a 50,000 litre in-ground rainwater harvesting tank and a 5,000 litre in-ground stormwater harvesting tank.
Bunnings Warehouses have supported the ‘no plastic bags policy’ since 2008. Customers can choose from a choice of woven bags or cardboard boxes.
The Big Prawn has also received a total refurbishment, including the addition of a new tail and paintwork, it stands proudly near the vehicle entrance to the new warehouse.
