Draft Ocean Breeze Reserve Master Plan

Council is inviting feedback on the draft Ocean Breeze Reserve Master Plan.

Based on site investigations and community engagement the intention of the master plan is to enable and facilitate the delivery of a preferred future outcome for 1.2 hectare Ocean Breeze Reserve in Lennox Head.

Mr Matthew Wood, Manager Strategic Planning, outlined how the draft master plan sets out three concept options for future use of the reserve, with a varying scale and range of facilities identified as desirable from previous community feedback. “When community members consider the concept options on exhibition, they can mix and match concepts as part of their feedback,” Mr Wood added.
As part of the master plan project, Council is also preparing an amendment to the Plan of Management for Community Land to recognise the master plan under the management plan. Submissions in relation to this amendment are also sought.

The documents can be viewed at Council’s Customer Service Centre, Lennox Head Library and on Council’s website www.ballina.nsw.gov.au (search Ocean Breeze),
Feedback can be provided by:

  • Completing the online Ocean Breeze Reserve Master Plan Survey (also on the webpage)
  • Providing a written submission to Ballina Shire Council PO Box 450 Ballina NSW 2478.
