Woodburn lies south of Ballina and this quiet village on the Pacific Highway by the banks of the Richmond River is a great little stop over.

Welcome to Woodburn NSW Australia for a relaxing rest by the river.

Picnic under the shady trees and catch a cool breeze as you watch the speed boats and skiers on a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

Woodburn provides inland access to Coraki and Lismore to the north west and Evans Head to the east and provides a river crossing to the farming area and homes on the opposite bank.

Woodburn also leads you further south on the Pacific Highway via the access road to Bundjalung National Park with its 17,000 hectares and 38km of coastline including rainforest, wetlands, heathland, lagoons and cypress stands and interesting coastal rock formations. Boat ramp available for canoeing in the Esk River with camping permitted in the park for a fee.

New Italy Museum and the Gurriglia Aboriginal Art & Craft Centre lie 11km south of Woodburn and provide rich and cultural displays both of the early Italian community who first settled the area and the local Bundjalung aboriginal culture and their art and history. Stop for a meal or a coffee and enjoy this interesting and educational attraction.
