The fishing around Ballina and the Northern Rivers continues to deliver excellent catches across a range of species. Whether you prefer river, beach or offshore fishing, the region has plenty to offer anglers of all experience levels.
The Richmond River has been producing good catches of flathead and bream around the Missingham Bridge area and Burns Point Ferry. Whiting are being caught on sand flats on the incoming tide.
Tailor and dart have been running along the beaches, with South Ballina Beach producing some quality fish for beach fishers. The breakwalls at North Wall continue to fish well for bream and drummer.
