This event is held in Ballina at the Missingham Bridge Amphitheatre and like previous years, it is a day focused on children especially those who have been in children’s ward and Special Care Nursery throughout the years.
Clowns and children shows the Balloon Kings, Awesome Adam, Southern Cross Garrison, 501st Legion (Star Wars) as well as food from the great Ballina Lions BBQ.
The Ballina Fire Brigade, Ballina SES, Police, Ambulance, the Army and the Westpac Helicopter will also be there for the children.

Breakin' up and Makin' up - Morning Melodies by Dean Doyle with Sophistication

Morning Melodies are a series of shows presented on the second Friday of each month, Level One of the Ballina RSL Club.
The shows are based around the beautiful voice of Dean Doyle with backing by the band Sophistication who also features with solos and instrumentals.
Each show features a different theme; examples include Those Fabulous Fifties, Sinatra and Friends, Classic Crooners and Songs from the Movies.
The music is mainly from the forties, fifties and the sixties but would be enjoyed by any age group.
Each show is an hour and a half long and after the performance the band enjoys the chance to mingle and chat with the audience.

Surfing Far North Coast Regional Surfing Titles

This is a great opportunity to watch some talented young surfers shred the waves and compete in the Far North Coast Regional Surfing Titles.
The Regional Titles are the qualifiers for surfers to go onto the NSW state titles. FNC region is from Tweed to Yamba and the event attracts the best junior male and female surfers from across the region.

Mother's Day Classic

Join in the annual fun/run/walk (held nationally in all Australian capital cities) to raise funds & awareness for breast cancer research.
Ballina is one of almost 100 regional events. This is the 5th consecutive year the event will be held in Ballina.
Online registration is recommended and available until midnight on Wednesday 10 May with on-the-day registrations open from 8:00am. Walkers & runners depart Missingham Amphitheatre from 9:00am following a picturesque track around Shaws Bay, past Lighthouse Beach before returning to the Amphitheatre for refreshments & prizes. The event is dog friendly.

Byron Bay to Ballina Coastal Charity Walk

- Starts at Denning Park Byron Bay and finishes at Ballina Surf Life Saving Club
The 2017 Byron Bay to Ballina Coastal Charity Walk will be the sixth consecutive year for the Charity Walk.
The Byron Bay to Ballina Coastal Charity Walk starts at Denning Park in Byron Bay, heads around Cape Byron Lighthouse and follows the coastline south.
The route is mixed terrain with stunning scenery from Byron Bay to Broken Head (12km), Lennox Head (24km) and finishing at Ballina Surf Life Saving Club (35km).
Coastal Charity Walks are set to dates that tide exposes the beauty of the landscape and provides access to walkers not offered all year round.

Alliance Française French Film Festival Ballina
26th to 28th May
- Ballina Fair Cinema
This year the Alliance Française Cote du Nord, Lismore, celebrates its 25th birthday in May with a wonderful three day film festival at the Ballina Fair Cinemas.
5 late release movies (all subtitled in English) will be showing. On Friday 26 May at 6.30 pm La Fille de Brest (150 Milligrams) will open the festival. Based on a true story this movie tells how a small town in Brittany led the way in exposing one of the biggest public health scandals in France.
On Saturday 27 May at 2pm Un Sac de Billes, (A Bag of Marbles) follows the lives of two young Jewish boys in WWII.
At 5pm the life of famous oceanographer, Jacques Cousteau, is at the centre of L'Odyssée (the Odyssey).
On Sunday 28 May the festival brings Natalie Portman and Lily-Rose Depp to the screen in Planetarium .
Not to be missed is the closing film Mister Chocolat. Starring Omar Sy (star of the Intouchables), the film tells the story of the first popular Afro-Cuban artist of the French stage.

Love Lennox Festival

The Love Lennox Festival is an annual event where our community comes together to celebrate everything there is to love about living in Lennox Head!
The Love Lennox Festival was conceived by the Lennox Head Chamber of Commerce in 2013, who were looking for unique and creative opportunities to promote the local business.
The first Festival was held in July 2013 and was a huge success, with entertainers, musicians, artists and businesses enthusiastic to take part and has been a successful event year after year since.
The event includes food stalls and sample plates from local businesses, surf board swap meets, dog parade, and the day finishes with Jazz by The Sea (ticketed event).

Lismore Lantern Parade

The Lismore Lantern Parade is an annual community arts festival held on or around the longest night of the year, being the Winter Solstice. It is recognised as the signature event for the City of Lismore along with the North Coast National.
The festival celebrates community, arts, crafts, workshops, regional cuisine, a spectacular parade, lanterns, parade bands, street theatre, music, carnival dancers, illuminated puppets, fire art and pyrotechnics and much, much more.
