The Howie Brothers (twin brothers John & Graeme Howie) are one of Australia’s leading country music / easy listening acts.
John and Graeme have been performing and recording for over 30 years and are renowned for their distinctive vocal harmony sound. They play a variety of instruments, including piano, guitar, accordion, mandolin, ukulele and drums.
They are both dedicated songwriters and have recorded many of their own songs over the years.
Performing at the Ballina RSL Club as part of Seniors week this performance is FREE to attend.

Morning Melodies with Dean Doyle

Morning Melodies are a series of shows presented on the second Friday of each month, Level One of the Ballina RSL Club.
The shows are based around the beautiful voice of Dean Doyle with backing by the band Sophistication who also feature with solos and instrumentals.
Each show features a different theme; examples include Those Fabulous Fifties, Sinatra and Friends, Classic Crooners and Songs from the Movies.
The music is mainly from the forties, fifties and the sixties but would be enjoyed by any age group.
Each show is an hour and a half long and after the performance the band enjoys the chance to mingle and chat with the audience.
Doors open 9:30am, show is from 10:30am-12pm Ticket price: $12.50

Ballina Relay for Life - Cancer Council of NSW

An overnight community event where teams participate in a relay style walk to raise funds for Cancer Council NSW. It brings the whole community together for a night of fun, entertainment, celebration and remembrance. Its organised by a local volunteer organising committee.

Heirlooms of the Future

This exhibition displays the work by local textile and embroidery group, Loose Threads. They use traditional techniques with a contemporary interpretation, demonstrating excellence in embroidery, confidence in design and a love of textiles.

Ballina's craft and produce market is held on the third Sunday of the month. The Ballina Market is full of local produce from farm fresh eggs to organic avocado's as well as a vast array of handcrafted wares, crafts, and artworks of every kind. It's best to get there early and allow a few hours to take in all the stalls, indulge in some fresh nourishment and feel the culture.
